  1. Where is the Options page?

Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar, select Tools, then Extensions.

Under the Hover Zoom entry, click on Options.

  2. Why does this extension need access to my browsing history and my data on all websites?

Hover Zoom modifies the pages you are browsing, just like many other extensions (ad blockers for instance). It requires permissions that trigger those warnings. It doesn't, however, read through your browsing history or private data.

  3. Hover Zoom is slower than other extensions like FB Photo Zoom.

By default, there's a small delay before each zoom. Also, zoomed images are shown with a fading animation.

You can make Hover Zoom faster by turning these off: in the Options page, General tab, Delays section, set all values to zero.

  4. Hover Zoom doesn't turn links purple on Reddit.

In the Options page, select the Advanced tab and check Add viewed pictures to the browser's history.

  5. How do I prevent zoomed images from floating under/above the mouse cursor?

In the Options page, uncheck Extend zoomed images below the mouse cursor.

  6. I have found a issue that is not discussed here. Where do I report it?
